New Hat

I have a new knitting book and have found a cool hat to make. I am knitting one now in shades of green, aqua, teal and will post a picture when done. The hat in the book is made with this wonderful Cascade Paints yarn in Coral Beach. I am going to the LYS today to see if they have it. Isn't it pretty?

Craft Gawker Fail

So, I'm kinda depressed. I submitted several things to Craft Gawker and they were rejected due to lighting, exposure...blah, blah, blah. They look fine on my blog. Oh well, will have to try harder with the photographing. Usually, I am so excited about being finished and wanting to post, I hurry through the picture taking. Does anyone have any suggestions? I am working on a hat with Amazing Yarn by Lion Brand. Will post as soon as I am done.

This is a hat that I modified and added the USMC logo.

My First Fair Isle Ear Flap Hat

SO I am so excited. Not only did I design this hat and write the pattern..it is the first time that I have ever tried Fair Isle Knitting. I think it turned out great for a first attempt and it was really fun to do.

Red White and Blue Hat

I knitted this with sock weight yarn leftovers holding 3 strands together. It was a quick knit and is very warm and soft. I used the pattern from a Ravelry post.http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/stark

Pink Ear Warmer

This pink ear warmer started out as a scarf....2 years ago. I never could seem to finish it even though I loved the stitch and the color. After I made the other ear warmers, I had an aha moment and decided to convert this to an ear warmer. I tapered the working end, then I picked up stitches on the starting end and tapered that. I did one row of crochet all around to make for nice edging, added the rose button and a loop button hole (of chain stitch crochet) and voila....finished project.                           Pin It
